06/06/19 Accepted Offer on 1046 N 1700 E, St George

Wednesday, June 5 Andy and I took off the afternoon to go look at some more houses. We went and saw a house off Riverside in St. George and another down in the fields. Andy really like the one off Riverside but it was really not a great location for anybody. The one out in the fields was pretty nice but we weren't ready to make an offer. It was a home getting ready to go into foreclosure and the pool water was green and scary looking. The inside of the house was very nice -- it had been remodeled recently -- had a few more things that needed done. The yard was a little overgrown but had potential. We decided to pray on it for the evening.

Wednesday afternoon (before YW) we all scoured zillow looking for another home because nothing felt quite right. We looked at the zillow map and all the houses for sale in the area we wanted to be. We found a home in Middleton that was only on the market 5 days - it was newer (only 4 years old) and had no pool but it backed up Forest Park. We decided to hurry and eat and go take a look at it. We drove by and the street was quiet. We walked the park and it was peaceful and beautiful. We decided to knock on the door and see if they'd let us come look.

An older couple welcomed us in. The home was beautiful and the backyard gate led to a path down to the park. So peaceful and nice. We love it!

We went home and let our realtor know that we wanted to put an offer in. The next day he put in an offer and the offer was accepted by the 5 p.m. deadline.

06/14/25 Pre-Yellowstone

Last year for Christmas I purchased a vacation to Yellowstone for the kids and us. The dates for the Yellowstone cabin were June 16-June 20. We decided to break the trip up a little and drive up the weekend before and drive home the weekend after. Also, because Katie got married, and Dallas has limited time off, he was unable to take his family on the trip. We stayed at his house and got some twin time in before we continued north. Aspen and John moved to Pennsylvania and are in Utah for the summer. On our way up north we stopped at Becky's house to see them and their sweet new baby. Erik recently got a new job so he was also not able to join us on our trip. Holly became our little girl again and traveled with us. Holly and Millie My dad's been in the care center so we stopped by to visit him. He's being well cared for. He is struggling to put sentences together. 06/16/25-06/20/25 Yellowstone

We had a really great week on our Yellowstone trip. We stayed at a VRBO cabin in a remote cabin in Ashton, Idaho. It was just right for our group. We were able to go to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Mesa Falls, the Yellowstone Playhouse, Lava Hot Springs Pools and Slides. We drove lots, played games, did puzzles, roasted hot dogs, made s'mores, enjoyed picnic lunches, ice cream at the frost top, dinners together made by each lil family and so much more. Loved it! 08/20/25 Max out of pocket reached early again...hospital here we come

As is customary, within 7-10 days from returning from a trip we go to the hospital. We stayed out of the ocean -- while we were in the Bahamas -- in order to keep Andy healthy. (We have determined that he has been getting infections through his swollen legs or cuts on his feet.) Andy did not get infection from being naughty! haha BUT he somehow picked up COVID! What the heck?! On Sunday last week (Aug 10) he started having a scratchy throat, voice. It got worse and most of last week he had laryngitis. That resolved itself and he was feeling pretty fine. We had a full Wednesday. Around 9 p.m. he said he was feeling a little funky/woozy, whatever. Off?! We went to bed and his temperature reading was still below normal but he was having body aches and shivering. We tried to sleep but he was clearly in pain and tossing and turning.
