06/06/19 Accepted Offer on 1046 N 1700 E, St George

Wednesday, June 5 Andy and I took off the afternoon to go look at some more houses. We went and saw a house off Riverside in St. George and another down in the fields. Andy really like the one off Riverside but it was really not a great location for anybody. The one out in the fields was pretty nice but we weren't ready to make an offer. It was a home getting ready to go into foreclosure and the pool water was green and scary looking. The inside of the house was very nice -- it had been remodeled recently -- had a few more things that needed done. The yard was a little overgrown but had potential. We decided to pray on it for the evening.

Wednesday afternoon (before YW) we all scoured zillow looking for another home because nothing felt quite right. We looked at the zillow map and all the houses for sale in the area we wanted to be. We found a home in Middleton that was only on the market 5 days - it was newer (only 4 years old) and had no pool but it backed up Forest Park. We decided to hurry and eat and go take a look at it. We drove by and the street was quiet. We walked the park and it was peaceful and beautiful. We decided to knock on the door and see if they'd let us come look.

An older couple welcomed us in. The home was beautiful and the backyard gate led to a path down to the park. So peaceful and nice. We love it!

We went home and let our realtor know that we wanted to put an offer in. The next day he put in an offer and the offer was accepted by the 5 p.m. deadline.

St George Temple This morning I woke up early and continued to read "Your Endowment", a book Grandma Griffin gave me several years ago but that I never read cover to cover. It is of course, about the temple and the meaning behind the endowment and the other things we learn about in the temple. I'll be honest, a lot of it feels "over my head". I am seeking to learn and know and understand more but I don't have a thorough understanding at this time. Kathy and Steve Spring Yesterday I went to visit Kathy Spring. She worked at Washington City for many years and retired almost 3 years ago. We were good friends and she helped me in the court for quite awhile. Her husband died in January of 2020...looking back she is convinced it was covid but it was just before covid really became a thing. So it's not official. 10/06/24 Repairs, Funeral, Marathon, Retirement Party, Car Show, Murder Mystery, Dr Visits, Pets, Food & Church. O my!

Macy Bundy, Hudson Jones, Emily Francis It's been a wonderful, packed week with good stuff going on all around. Sunday during church I went to Andy's class for 1/2 of the second hour. The kids are nine and kind of a handful sometimes...but there was only three and they were pretty cute and fun. After Andy taught his class he went to Primary singing time and I went to the second half of a combined YW/YM class. We had Sunday dinner with Randy & Kay, AJ, GPA, and us. Eldon and Diane are on an Elderhostel trip and will be gone for a couple Sundays with other responsibilities. Andy smoked drumsticks and I made homemade bread and cookies (both new recipes). All of our dinner was SO GOOD!!!! Sometimes it just works, and this was one of those! YuM! 11/10/24 Election, 28 year Anniversary, 1 year Anniversary and a Sealing

Well I'm starting this early cause tomorrow morning I'm going walking extra early. But I'm still calling it 11/10. I'm gonna run through this week and see if anything was exciting. But first...this picture...It just kills me! When church is just too much! Haha. I think that was at youth conference a couple of years ago and I think it's one of the Francis boys...but I couldn't swear to it! I know you're not supposed to take pictures in the chapel. But seriously...I couldn't resist! Speaking of the Francis family. Today at 2:30 p.m. at the Red Cliff's Temple, they sealed Laith to their family. Laith will make child # 10 (or 12?) (And he is 10 years old). Laith's mother died very unexpectedly within the last couple of years. Shortly thereafter his father was arrested and has been sentenced to spend the rest of his childhood and beyond (I don't know the # of years) in prison. He's a challenging child AND he got bumped around a little....
