11/11/19 Veteran's Day Parade with the Binders

Veteran's Day I had off from work. The girls were marching in the parade and Andy was working. So I arranged with Nicole to meet her and the boys (minus Jake - he was at school) at the parade.

We had fun catching candy and watching the parade. Jeffrey LOVES to play with my little camera so I gave that to him and he took all the photos below!

He and Josh went home and bragged, "Hey, Jake, we got to do something super fun today with out. Let me give you some hints. We went with someone who had a camera and there were drums."

Needless to say Jake needed a few more hints before he could guess!

We decided we need to make this an annual get together!

11/09/24 The temple

St George Temple This morning I woke up early and continued to read "Your Endowment", a book Grandma Griffin gave me several years ago but that I never read cover to cover. It is of course, about the temple and the meaning behind the endowment and the other things we learn about in the temple. I'll be honest, a lot of it feels "over my head". I am seeking to learn and know and understand more but I don't have a thorough understanding at this time. Kathy and Steve Spring Yesterday I went to visit Kathy Spring. She worked at Washington City for many years and retired almost 3 years ago. We were good friends and she helped me in the court for quite awhile. Her husband died in January of 2020...looking back she is convinced it was covid but it was just before covid really became a thing. So it's not official. 09/10/23 Hey, do you get to read letters on non-p day, p day?

First time trying a lime Pineapple was more pleasing than lime Well...we went to Provo on Saturday and Sunday -- so your letter is a little later on Sunday than usual...but then I got to thinking...will you even get to see this before Thursday anyway?! So hopefully you're not sad that I'm late and all is well in CHILE. It's a rainy sabbath here...which is weird cause we rarely get rain. But it is drizzly and rainy and our ride home was beautiful for 2 hours, raining for 1 1/2 hours, and then pretty good the rest of the way. Let's see...what happened this week...Monday was Labor Day...so we had a day off work. Yeah!!! We didn't have anywhere we needed to go and planned to have a quiet Monday but first, we went to this store called Sheridan's that is super close to our house. 10/06/24 Repairs, Funeral, Marathon, Retirement Party, Car Show, Murder Mystery, Dr Visits, Pets, Food & Church. O my!

Macy Bundy, Hudson Jones, Emily Francis It's been a wonderful, packed week with good stuff going on all around. Sunday during church I went to Andy's class for 1/2 of the second hour. The kids are nine and kind of a handful sometimes...but there was only three and they were pretty cute and fun. After Andy taught his class he went to Primary singing time and I went to the second half of a combined YW/YM class. We had Sunday dinner with Randy & Kay, AJ, GPA, and us. Eldon and Diane are on an Elderhostel trip and will be gone for a couple Sundays with other responsibilities. Andy smoked drumsticks and I made homemade bread and cookies (both new recipes). All of our dinner was SO GOOD!!!! Sometimes it just works, and this was one of those! YuM!
