12/10/94 Deanna Laurito - Christmas Letter

1/15/94 Jurassic Park

1/15/1994      Today was a busy day.  I was going to go have breakfast with Lorri Teegarden (She is moving to Oregon and it's her last day here) but at 9 a.m. she called and cancelled.  I figured I better stay up since I wouldn't sleep well anymore.  So I did my aerobic workout.  Then I got the paper and read it.       At 10 a.m. AJ came stumbling out and we hung out together for a few minutes.  He decided he needed a bath (he loves baths) so I put him in and got the house cleaned up.  Andy and I decided to go to lunch and a movie at 3:00 while AJ stayed home with Lacey Zirker.  Dinner was delicious but it took longer than expected and when we got to Jurassic Park it was full.      So we went home early and went grocery shopping and then to the Moscow girls' game.  They lost but it was an exciting game.  Then we took AJ and went to see the movie.  It was packed.  AJ stayed awak...

1/9/94 Journal entry, Moscow Idaho

1/9/1994      I haven't written in my journal for probably five or more years now.  I kind of miss it.  I felt like when I met Andy I didn't need to write anymore because I shared everything with him.  Well we still share most everything but he's gone lots and AJ has done some things that we should be writing down for future laughs.      We moved up here to Moscow, Idaho on July 23, 1993.      It was a very exciting and scary time for us.  We loaded up a small u-haul trailer, our truck and car and Andy's parent's truck and started up here with no apartment.      We stayed in a hotel in Boise and went swimming and ate dinner.  It is really fun to do things with his folks.  We drove all day and got to Moscow about dinner time to find out there was nowhere to park a trailer.  We drove for quite awhile and ended up down a huge hill to a beautiful little camp ground on the snake river by a dam...

08/10/87 Ending Summer quarter

This summer has gone so fast.  I'm doing really well in all my classes.  Band ended today.  I'm not sure how he grades but I only missed one day (flu).  The music was okay some days but very hard others.  I think we had 30-40 pieces of music we played. Today we had a concert. English has gone really well.  My major downfall was in the GE test.  W/o it I would have 89.7.  With it I have an 85. I'm nervous about the essay for the final.  If I can keep my head together though I should get a B+ or A. In Calculus I've surprised myself so far but the final is going to be a killer.  I haven't studied a lot since last week.  I'm scared! In 2 days I've got to move out of here and I'm going to New Jersey on Friday. We went camping this week and it was really fun.  I'm still unsure about things.  We spend a lot of time together and we know each other pretty well.  I can tell him anything.  He treats me like a queen....

06/30/87 Meeting Mom & Dad Griffin story

unknown date I first met mom and dad in June of 1987.  I was 18 at the time and fresh out of high school.  I graduated on Friday and on Saturday was on a plane to Utah to attend BYU.  I didn’t know anyone west of Ohio and Andy was kind enough to pick me up at the airport and take me to BYU.       That same day I was invited to attend a family picnic with all the Griffin’s aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents etc.  I was taken in immediately by the whole family.       Mom and Dad always treated me special and kind.       As Andy and I were dating Mom took me under her wing and treated me like she was my mom.  She was so supportive of our getting married.  She even went so far as to take care of my wedding dress, flowers and food for our reception out here.  I never heard her complain about the added expense and bother.  My parents weren’t supportive and it really helped to h...
