August 11 we returned from the Bahamas. Upon return, Andy got a cough/cold and lost his voice. He went to work but really struggled with his cold. About 7 days into the cold he spiked a fever. He seemed to be showing the signs of sepsis -- Again -- even though we had stayed out of the ocean on our trip to the Bahamas. But we were wrong. The nurse shoved a q-tip up to his brain and came back with a COVID diagnosis. Covid generally lasts 7-10 days...and we were about 8 days into his illness. So he was pretty much fine within a day or two of his hospital visit.
He had a colonoscopy scheduled -- which they postponed a week because they didn't want him in there with COVID. So he ended up having to take off both weeks from work to take care of his medical stuff. Bummer!
