10/10/95 Journal Entry - Still no house!!!! But feeling blessed

10/10/95

Still no house - maybe this week.  Haha.

Money ran out of the last issue on the people right before us.  More money may come in at a lower rate.  We'll have to see.

Dallas is really growing up in a hurry. He is crawling very well on his knees, standing up on things and moving while holding furniture.  He's been really fussy this past week.  Maybe a cold or teeth.  I don't know.  I held him on the coucn all night Saturday. he is really a mama's boy and cries when I leave or come in the room.

AJ is also growing up fast.  He's so independent.  He knows what he wants and often gets it.  Saturday Gma and Gpa Griffin were leaving to go home and Aj said, "Where are you going?". Grandma says, "Home to Salt Lake City."  AJ says, "Ok, just a minute I'll get my shoes on!"

He is a really good looking little boy.  I sure am lucky to have such a neat family.

Andy's been busy training Dean Rock.  Last two weeks he doubled his normal take home pay cause he had so much overtime.  Poor guy!  Soon he should be down to 40 hours a week I hope!  Miss the $ but love to get to know my honey again!

Need to lose 10 lbs from Dallas.  Nursing seem to have REALLY increased my appetite.  I walk 2 miles most days but it doesn't seem to help.  Dallas is almost weaned.  1 or 2 feedings is all now so hopefully I'll see a decrease in my appetite and weight.

I feel really blessed.  We paid $600 in tithing and Andy started getting mega overtime and I have found most things I want and need on sale or at yard sales.  I paid another $200 this week. I'm trying to stay on top of it.  I know it's important but it sure is a tuff concept when I think of all that we could use the money for.  I just have to have faith and know that the Lord will bless us if we do it.

06/14/25 Pre-Yellowstone

Last year for Christmas I purchased a vacation to Yellowstone for the kids and us. The dates for the Yellowstone cabin were June 16-June 20. We decided to break the trip up a little and drive up the weekend before and drive home the weekend after. Also, because Katie got married, and Dallas has limited time off, he was unable to take his family on the trip. We stayed at his house and got some twin time in before we continued north.  Aspen and John moved to Pennsylvania and are in Utah for the summer. On our way up north we stopped at Becky's house to see them and their sweet new baby.  Erik recently got a new job so he was also not able to join us on our trip. Holly became our little girl again and traveled with us.  Holly and Millie My dad's been in the care center so we stopped by to visit him. He's being well cared for. He is struggling to put sentences together. We came and went to church with him at the care center. He's been asking for a really good pizza. So we w...

06/16/25-06/20/25 Yellowstone

We had a really great week on our Yellowstone trip. We stayed at a VRBO cabin in a remote cabin in Ashton, Idaho. It was just right for our group. We were able to go to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Mesa Falls, the Yellowstone Playhouse, Lava Hot Springs Pools and Slides.  We drove lots, played games, did puzzles, roasted hot dogs, made s'mores, enjoyed picnic lunches, ice cream at the frost top, dinners together made by each lil family and so much more.  Loved it! (There are lots more pictures in our shared Yellowstone google album. Also, these pictures are not in order of happening. )

03/29/15 6 months scanning project...done!!!!

3/29/2015   I can't believe another week has gone by.  I don't think I took any pictures this week. I'll have to go look and see. Before... So it was a busy week at work.  We completed our 6 month project of scanning all the files in the office.  Whew. Pretty awesome feeling.  I have an assistant Sara (since January); a volunteer Sheron; and a court ordered worker to thank for getting me through this project.  I did lots myself but I probably would have taken at least a year to get it done without their help. We are going to have a thank you/celebration lunch tomorrow.  City is buying pizza. Piles of files to scan Thursday we had the relief society birthday party and the girls were invited.  So we ate dinner at church while dad went to work.  It was also the day before Dallas' 20th birthday so he, dad and McKayla went to Carl's for a big burger.  I think it was probably a pretty lame birthday day for him this ...
