08/04/21 Covid continues, Strikes Shelly

On Tuesday, August 3 about 4 p.m. I started feeling a little off...like vertigo...took my temperature and it was up around 101. Knowing that COVID had arrived I went in Wednesday morning and tested positive...starting my 10 day quarantine. (I already had been quarantined 5 days due to Andy's positive).

I had a fever for 24 hours and felt kind a blah until 4 p.m. Wednesday. Then I started feeling better. I had to work all day Thursday (interviewing over ZOOM for a new Judge) and luckily felt good all day.

I did daily sun therapy (naps on my recliner by the pool). Saturday was another rough day with a bad tummy ache (took a concoction of vitamins without eating anything and it knocked me down for about 3 hours with stomach pains and the accompanying yuck) and just feeling icky. Other then that felt pretty good as I waited out my time.

COVID did allow me to get paid for doing lots of projects. Here are some pictures of some of the projects...I didn't get pix of everything.

Bought the right clips to make awning go up and down easier

Fed the pile for two weeks then did a DI run to donate excess

DI contributions offered to the college kids (there was more, this was after they took stuff)

Cleaned out the dryer vent

Worked from home, this was my office for 2 weeks

Online shopping!!!!!

Lots of swimming, floating, chilling...quietly since it was just me and Andy

Youtube work outs, spinning, walking around the block alone

Read two books

Painted some rocks

Mowed the lawn...twice.

Made cushion covers for Grandpa's chairs

Even had a rainy day.

06/14/25 Pre-Yellowstone

Last year for Christmas I purchased a vacation to Yellowstone for the kids and us. The dates for the Yellowstone cabin were June 16-June 20. We decided to break the trip up a little and drive up the weekend before and drive home the weekend after. Also, because Katie got married, and Dallas has limited time off, he was unable to take his family on the trip. We stayed at his house and got some twin time in before we continued north. Aspen and John moved to Pennsylvania and are in Utah for the summer. On our way up north we stopped at Becky's house to see them and their sweet new baby. Erik recently got a new job so he was also not able to join us on our trip. Holly became our little girl again and traveled with us. Holly and Millie My dad's been in the care center so we stopped by to visit him. He's being well cared for. He is struggling to put sentences together. 06/16/25-06/20/25 Yellowstone

We had a really great week on our Yellowstone trip. We stayed at a VRBO cabin in a remote cabin in Ashton, Idaho. It was just right for our group. We were able to go to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Mesa Falls, the Yellowstone Playhouse, Lava Hot Springs Pools and Slides. We drove lots, played games, did puzzles, roasted hot dogs, made s'mores, enjoyed picnic lunches, ice cream at the frost top, dinners together made by each lil family and so much more. Loved it! (There are lots more pictures in our shared Yellowstone google album. Also, these pictures are not in order of happening. )

03/29/15 6 months scanning project...done!!!!

3/29/2015 I can't believe another week has gone by. I don't think I took any pictures this week. I'll have to go look and see. Before... So it was a busy week at work. We completed our 6 month project of scanning all the files in the office. Whew. Pretty awesome feeling. I have an assistant Sara (since January); a volunteer Sheron; and a court ordered worker to thank for getting me through this project. I did lots myself but I probably would have taken at least a year to get it done without their help. We are going to have a thank you/celebration lunch tomorrow. City is buying pizza. Piles of files to scan Thursday we had the relief society birthday party and the girls were invited. So we ate dinner at church while dad went to work. It was also the day before Dallas' 20th birthday so he, dad and McKayla went to Carl's for a big burger. I think it was probably a pretty lame birthday day for him this ...
