12/29/16 Random Events

Andy had a colonoscopy. The getting there was rather unpleasant but not completely AWFUL -- not as bad as imagined any way. Close, but not quite as bad! And the results were great...Dr said Andy is the picture of colonic health and he doesn't need another test for 10 years!!! Yeah!!!

The microwave broke (after only 4 years, seriously?! Boo G.E.) The kitchen sat empty like this for about 3 weeks while we determined that the best course of action was just purchasing a new microwave. Funny how dependent we are on microwaves. The first day we had to melt butter and didn't quite know how to do it. Ha ha. Luckily Linda Hill was a life saver and loaned us her little microwave to get us through the month.

Grandma found these cute Dallas cowboy pillows for Dallas and Andy and he is holding a sock monkey for McKayla. I had to include this picture because they are just so cute!

06/16/25-06/20/25 Yellowstone

We had a really great week on our Yellowstone trip. We stayed at a VRBO cabin in a remote cabin in Ashton, Idaho. It was just right for our group. We were able to go to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Mesa Falls, the Yellowstone Playhouse, Lava Hot Springs Pools and Slides. We drove lots, played games, did puzzles, roasted hot dogs, made s'mores, enjoyed picnic lunches, ice cream at the frost top, dinners together made by each lil family and so much more. Loved it! (There are lots more pictures in our shared Yellowstone google album. Also, these pictures are not in order of happening. )

06/14/25 Pre-Yellowstone

Last year for Christmas I purchased a vacation to Yellowstone for the kids and us. The dates for the Yellowstone cabin were June 16-June 20. We decided to break the trip up a little and drive up the weekend before and drive home the weekend after. Also, because Katie got married, and Dallas has limited time off, he was unable to take his family on the trip. We stayed at his house and got some twin time in before we continued north. Aspen and John moved to Pennsylvania and are in Utah for the summer. On our way up north we stopped at Becky's house to see them and their sweet new baby. Erik recently got a new job so he was also not able to join us on our trip. Holly became our little girl again and traveled with us. Holly and Millie My dad's been in the care center so we stopped by to visit him. He's being well cared for. He is struggling to put sentences together. 10/10/95 Journal Entry - Still no house!!!! But feeling blessed

10/10/95 Still no house - maybe this week. Haha. Money ran out of the last issue on the people right before us. More money may come in at a lower rate. We'll have to see. Dallas is really growing up in a hurry. He is crawling very well on his knees, standing up on things and moving while holding furniture. He's been really fussy this past week. Maybe a cold or teeth. I don't know. I held him on the coucn all night Saturday. he is really a mama's boy and cries when I leave or come in the room. AJ is also growing up fast. He's so independent. He knows what he wants and often gets it. Saturday Gma and Gpa Griffin were leaving to go home and Aj said, "Where are you going?". Grandma says, "Home to Salt Lake City."
