10/20/24 Ghastly! haha...and FaceTime with Mo

Me, Olivia Jones, and Mia Wilcox
It's weird how time is...seems to be fast then slow. Or go slow and pass quickly. It's hard to explain. But this week it felt like a regular week, kind of that wasn't too action packed!

and back!
Sunday we had E&D, AJ, GPA and us for dinner. Perfect for our table of 6.  It's hard when we get more cause then somebody's on the folding chairs or at the bar stools. E&D are heading out on a 10 day excursion with Elderhostel so we won't see them for the next Mon, Sun, Mon while they go touring So. Utah.

We just had AJ, GPA and us for dinner - so a little gathering -- at Slice House in the Zion Stip Mall. Quick and uneventful. Aj's been kind of bummed lately so he wasn't real talkative and didn't stay long. He has been going to tons of YSA activities -- so that's good!

Monday was Columbus Day and I had off but Dad had to work. Usually I would be all over that with projects - but I was kind of bleh. I did walk my 3 miles then come home and take a long hot bath. Then I rearranged and cleaned up the back porch. And took a outside nap. Then I did dishes and cleaned the kitchen and took a nap. I guess every once in awhile life catches up with me!

Tuesday we also just did the usual work and then hang out.

Wednesday was a busy day. Dad had football games (fall break they do them early in the week). So he was busy until almost midnight. (too much for a work week day!) He and AJ broadcast together so that's fun and cool but getting home so late is rough when you have to start at 5 a.m. all over again.

I had YW and we took the girls (and boys) up to the gardens. They are decorated for Halloween so I really enjoyed it!  We broke up into little groups (so my pictures mostly have the same 4 of us in them) and then met at the end. We were scavenger hunting for a list of halloween things (ghost, pumpkin, etc). Cute and fun and easy activity. Highly recommend!

Thursday and Friday were quiet again with not much going on. Friday I came home with a migraine (I don't get headaches, or migraines, so this was a weird development.)  It was a total bummer too because Dad had off and I couldn't bring myself to do anything but sleep or sit on the couch. Tylenol helped a bit but ended up doing nothing. Dad brought me back and Ike's Sandwich (he had to go into work and it was by Fabulous Freddy. But I was rather non-functional.  (I did have a chiropractor adjustment on Thursday and I read that toxins can release and cause this. I think that may have been it as I was suffering from a shoulder that was very painful and out of place and he knocked it back into place ... or something?! )

Saturday, thank goodness...I'm BACK!  Pickleball, mopping, cleaning pool, playing in pool, enjoying outdoor, laundry...I felt good and myself again.

Gettin ready for another Sunday with early meetings (Stephanie Wilcox was out of town...so ward council) and family dinner.

Funny story...during church today just Theo came back. He was happy to eat his famous amos cookies and have me read him stories. Then he got out stickers. He was really enjoying it.  And starting really dancing...(the pee pee dance...you know that one, right?)  I leaned over several times and asked if he needed to go potty. Nothing.  So he was REALLY dancing...and I was like THEO, we gotta take care of this. I got up and grabbed his hand and walked him back to his mom and told her about the dancing. She took him potty and came back and was like THANK YOU!!!! He REALLY needed to go! Know your dance moves! Emergency averted!

09/10/23 Hey, do you get to read letters on non-p day, p day?

First time trying a lime Pineapple was more pleasing than lime  Well...we went to Provo on Saturday and Sunday -- so your letter is a little later on Sunday than usual...but then I got to thinking...will you even get to see this before Thursday anyway?! So hopefully you're not sad that I'm late and all is well in CHILE.  It's a rainy sabbath here...which is weird cause we rarely get rain. But it is drizzly and rainy and our ride home was beautiful for 2 hours, raining for 1 1/2 hours, and then pretty good the rest of the way.  Let's see...what happened this week...Monday was Labor Day...so we had a day off work. Yeah!!!  We didn't have anywhere we needed to go and planned to have a quiet Monday but first, we went to this store called Sheridan's that is super close to our house. And we found some wonderful outdoor patio furniture. It took us 3 trips to get it all home and all afternoon to unpack and assemble it. So at 5:30, we were just finishing and kinda tired

10/15/23 Last Letter!

Hey! Can you believe it?!  It's your last letter from home!!! This time next week you'll be one tired Hermana sitting in my kitchen with me!!!  What a week!  Monday was Columbus Day - so everybody had to work ('cept me!!!!) haha I stayed home and worked on projects. I took your car to the tire shop and had the tires inflated and then to Walmart and got an oil change then to the car wash and got the shebang inside and out and then brought it home and scrubbed it for a couple more hours. Wow, it was dirty and still isn't great! haha.  I also cleaned the pool and worked on the yard a bit and I don't even remember what else. I just remember I was super tired by day's end!  On Tuesday Emmalee came over and did Holly's hair and makeup. She looked really pretty. Afterward, we went to the Covington Home to take pictures. And the funny thing...it was decked out in Halloween decorations. NOOOOO!!!! So we found some areas and took some pictures and I think we got a c

09/17/23 Linger Longer, Temple Open House

I l ooked up Iqueque and it looks beautiful!!! Did they save the best for last? I'm excited to see your place and hear about it. It looks like a very fun vacation city -- so maybe people won't be as interested in learning the gospel??? I dunno!  But I was impressed! It was a busy week but productive!   After church last week they had a linger-longer -- we've never done that in any ward I've been in that I recall...maybe when I was a kid (we would stay all day between conferences).  I have heard of it...AJ had it in the Virgin Islands. It was fun. Brother Blaser made tons of cookies and everyone just stayed after and visited for a little while.  Dad met a couple that has a pickleball court in their side yard.  But that yard was too small, so they have to cut off 4 feet...which seems like a lot! haha. We haven't gone up to play with then yet so I dunno! They live on Myrna's hill.  Monday we went to the temple pre-open house.  It was really beautiful and a nice exp
