08/30/15 Moving into the new house for D & M!

We received your shipment of shirts from Spokane Mission!!! Thank you! Tell me for sure who you sent them for so I get them distributed properly.

Our week has been busy with moving Dallas and McKayla in to their new home. The house is right behind Wal-mart hill in a new little community. It is a beautiful condo with about 1800 sq ft 3b 2.5 bath.

We thought it was still in our stake in the 7th ward but it turns out the little river between the condo community and the last house in the stake is the line. So they will go to the church up in Green springs. Crazy huh!? We were looking forward to them being in the 7th ward with Spriggs and Seegmillers and lots of other people that know and love them. Bummer.

Dallas sliced his finger at work Friday morning so he spent a good portion of the day at insta care. He never complained about it though and just worked away at work and moving after it happened.

Marlee came over for dinner Wednesday night. We had a nice visit. Katie made cupcakes for her birthday and we gave her a little first aid kit to take on her mission. Her farewell is coming up pretty quick...like 4 weeks now I think.

Dad got asked to speak in Sacrament meeting today...and me and Aj and Holly will too. It seems like we talk in church a lot! Katie gets to not talk because she did a youth talk a couple of weeks ago.

Our talks are about how service in the church has brought us peace and happiness. Or something like that. I attached Holly's talk and my talk for ya.

AJ came down for the weekend. We got to sing happy birthday to him (24!!!!). He got to go on a couple of dates -- haven't heard how they went and help Dallas move and go to football game with Dad. He will stay through dinner today probably and then head back up to Provo.

St George Temple This morning I woke up early and continued to read "Your Endowment", a book Grandma Griffin gave me several years ago but that I never read cover to cover. It is of course, about the temple and the meaning behind the endowment and the other things we learn about in the temple. I'll be honest, a lot of it feels "over my head". I am seeking to learn and know and understand more but I don't have a thorough understanding at this time. Kathy and Steve Spring Yesterday I went to visit Kathy Spring. She worked at Washington City for many years and retired almost 3 years ago. We were good friends and she helped me in the court for quite awhile. Her husband died in January of 2020...looking back she is convinced it was covid but it was just before covid really became a thing. So it's not official. 09/10/23 Hey, do you get to read letters on non-p day, p day?

First time trying a lime Pineapple was more pleasing than lime Well...we went to Provo on Saturday and Sunday -- so your letter is a little later on Sunday than usual...but then I got to thinking...will you even get to see this before Thursday anyway?! So hopefully you're not sad that I'm late and all is well in CHILE. It's a rainy sabbath here...which is weird cause we rarely get rain. But it is drizzly and rainy and our ride home was beautiful for 2 hours, raining for 1 1/2 hours, and then pretty good the rest of the way. Let's see...what happened this week...Monday was Labor Day...so we had a day off work. Yeah!!! We didn't have anywhere we needed to go and planned to have a quiet Monday but first, we went to this store called Sheridan's that is super close to our house. And we found some wonderful outdoor patio furniture. It took us 3 trips to get it all home and all afternoon to unpack and assemble it. So at 5:30, we were just finishing and kinda tired ...

10/06/24 Repairs, Funeral, Marathon, Retirement Party, Car Show, Murder Mystery, Dr Visits, Pets, Food & Church. O my!

Macy Bundy, Hudson Jones, Emily Francis It's been a wonderful, packed week with good stuff going on all around. Sunday during church I went to Andy's class for 1/2 of the second hour. The kids are nine and kind of a handful sometimes...but there was only three and they were pretty cute and fun. After Andy taught his class he went to Primary singing time and I went to the second half of a combined YW/YM class. We had Sunday dinner with Randy & Kay, AJ, GPA, and us. Eldon and Diane are on an Elderhostel trip and will be gone for a couple Sundays with other responsibilities. Andy smoked drumsticks and I made homemade bread and cookies (both new recipes). All of our dinner was SO GOOD!!!! Sometimes it just works, and this was one of those! YuM!
