04/16/17 Easter Sunday

Girls woke up and got their Easter Baskets.  They got a cute stuffed animal, a skirt and some candy.  Someone "egged" our house last night so they got to go have an egg hunt like little kids!  Holly seemed to enjoy egg hunting more than Katie (who didn't want to get her feet wet in the grass!!!)

Katie and I had choir practice at 10 a.m. for the Easter program starting at 11 a.m. We got there and found out the Herdman's were sick and not going to come.  (They are the best singers!!!  Wahhhhh!!!)  The choir was pretty nervous but we practiced for an hour and hoped for the best.

Sister Cassidy Baker joined the choir at the last
minute and things worked out pretty well!

Gma and Gpa Griffin came to our ward because they were reading Grandma's poem (see 12/8/2008 entry for complete poem), He has his Father's eyes.   Seth and Rachel Johnson and kids came  (Eldon and Diane's daughter and family).  Dallas came too.  So it was nice to have lots of family there!

Katie and I both had a short narration part along with the songs we sang.

After church we had just about an hour and then headed over to Santa Clara City park for a picnic with all the kids and their kids.  Everybody was there...Grandma and Grandpa Griffin, Squires and all their kids and kids, Wendy and all her kids, Us and all ours plus Grandma Squires and Ben's brother Adam and his wife Bonnie.  So great party!

The pavilion we thought we had reserved was taken by another group so we had to move the tables over to our smaller pavilion.   Pretty hard job but these guys got the job done!

Emma, Katie and Holly were the egg hiding crew for our egg hunt.  They hid about 150 eggs for the little kids to find later.

Dallas brought his cornhole game for some in the park games.

Bryce and Marlee just got engaged yesterday at
Menchies in St. George!!!!

Aaron really didn't want his picture taken!

06/14/25 Pre-Yellowstone

Last year for Christmas I purchased a vacation to Yellowstone for the kids and us. The dates for the Yellowstone cabin were June 16-June 20. We decided to break the trip up a little and drive up the weekend before and drive home the weekend after. Also, because Katie got married, and Dallas has limited time off, he was unable to take his family on the trip. We stayed at his house and got some twin time in before we continued north.  Aspen and John moved to Pennsylvania and are in Utah for the summer. On our way up north we stopped at Becky's house to see them and their sweet new baby.  Erik recently got a new job so he was also not able to join us on our trip. Holly became our little girl again and traveled with us.  Holly and Millie My dad's been in the care center so we stopped by to visit him. He's being well cared for. He is struggling to put sentences together. We came and went to church with him at the care center. He's been asking for a really good pizza. So we w...

06/16/25-06/20/25 Yellowstone

We had a really great week on our Yellowstone trip. We stayed at a VRBO cabin in a remote cabin in Ashton, Idaho. It was just right for our group. We were able to go to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Mesa Falls, the Yellowstone Playhouse, Lava Hot Springs Pools and Slides.  We drove lots, played games, did puzzles, roasted hot dogs, made s'mores, enjoyed picnic lunches, ice cream at the frost top, dinners together made by each lil family and so much more.  Loved it! (There are lots more pictures in our shared Yellowstone google album. Also, these pictures are not in order of happening. )

03/29/15 6 months scanning project...done!!!!

3/29/2015   I can't believe another week has gone by.  I don't think I took any pictures this week. I'll have to go look and see. Before... So it was a busy week at work.  We completed our 6 month project of scanning all the files in the office.  Whew. Pretty awesome feeling.  I have an assistant Sara (since January); a volunteer Sheron; and a court ordered worker to thank for getting me through this project.  I did lots myself but I probably would have taken at least a year to get it done without their help. We are going to have a thank you/celebration lunch tomorrow.  City is buying pizza. Piles of files to scan Thursday we had the relief society birthday party and the girls were invited.  So we ate dinner at church while dad went to work.  It was also the day before Dallas' 20th birthday so he, dad and McKayla went to Carl's for a big burger.  I think it was probably a pretty lame birthday day for him this ...
