09/08/14 Provo conference & Dallas meets McKayla

09/08/14

Hey Bryce!  How are you?

I'm sitting in room 631 at the Marriott Hotel in Provo waiting for my conference to start at 10:30 this morning.  Me and dad got to take a quick trip up here all by ourselves.  Met AJ last night and ate his left over date food...cafe rio burrito. It was yummy but cold.

Trying to remember what went on this week...seems like we've been super busy but I can't think of what we were doing!  Haha.

The girls and I went to a bridging ceremony, hot dog roast and then swam in a pool and a pond last Friday night for about 4 hours.  Then we went to a movie in the park.  It was fun.  Love deer haven camp.  It's the same one we went to this summer.   So fun.

Dallas has a new girl he is dating that he found on snap chat.  Makayla from West Jordan.  She is living by herself in a condo in St. George going to Dixie College.  She is 18.  Her dad is assistant chief police up in Cotton wood I think.  I told Dallas he doesn't want to mess with a cops daughter...he carries a gun and a taser! She seems very nice.

He has been keeping super busy with school and work and girl.  He did go fishing with Grandpa on Saturday up to Enterprise.  They had a nice time.  Even caught and released a few fish.

Holly seems to enjoy Mr. Ivie..although he said her class is a real challenge.  Bunch of misbehaved nitwits.  Has to spend a lot of time on discipline and can't have as much fun as he would like.

Things are same old same old here really.  Everybody doing school and piano and choir and homework and blah blah blah...the usual.

I hope you are staying busy and happy there.  We are getting ready to send off a little something...do you need anything? Or just want something that fits in a little box?  Haha.

We are very proud of you and love you and pray for you.  Keep up the good works!  Love mom.

06/14/25 Pre-Yellowstone

Last year for Christmas I purchased a vacation to Yellowstone for the kids and us. The dates for the Yellowstone cabin were June 16-June 20. We decided to break the trip up a little and drive up the weekend before and drive home the weekend after. Also, because Katie got married, and Dallas has limited time off, he was unable to take his family on the trip. We stayed at his house and got some twin time in before we continued north.  Aspen and John moved to Pennsylvania and are in Utah for the summer. On our way up north we stopped at Becky's house to see them and their sweet new baby.  Erik recently got a new job so he was also not able to join us on our trip. Holly became our little girl again and traveled with us.  Holly and Millie My dad's been in the care center so we stopped by to visit him. He's being well cared for. He is struggling to put sentences together. We came and went to church with him at the care center. He's been asking for a really good pizza. So we w...

06/16/25-06/20/25 Yellowstone

We had a really great week on our Yellowstone trip. We stayed at a VRBO cabin in a remote cabin in Ashton, Idaho. It was just right for our group. We were able to go to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Mesa Falls, the Yellowstone Playhouse, Lava Hot Springs Pools and Slides.  We drove lots, played games, did puzzles, roasted hot dogs, made s'mores, enjoyed picnic lunches, ice cream at the frost top, dinners together made by each lil family and so much more.  Loved it! (There are lots more pictures in our shared Yellowstone google album. Also, these pictures are not in order of happening. )

08/20/25 Max out of pocket reached early again...hospital here we come

As is customary, within 7-10 days from returning from a trip we go to the hospital.  We stayed out of the ocean -- while we were in the Bahamas -- in order to keep Andy healthy. (We have determined that he has been getting infections through his swollen legs or cuts on his feet.)  Andy did not get infection from being naughty! haha BUT he somehow picked up COVID!  What the heck?! On Sunday last week (Aug 10) he started having a scratchy throat, voice. It got worse and most of last week he had laryngitis.  That resolved itself and he was feeling pretty fine. We had a full Wednesday. Around 9 p.m. he said he was feeling a little funky/woozy, whatever. Off?!   We went to bed and his temperature reading was still below normal but he was having body aches and shivering. We tried to sleep but he was clearly in pain and tossing and turning.  About 1:00 a.m. I got up and checked his temperature...100. Hmm. I looked at his legs and it looked like he might possi...
