02/15/18 Chase Family visit

The Chase Family came for a quick visit from Thursday February 15 - Sunday February 18 over President's Day weekend. All the kids stayed over Thursday evening and then the Chase's went to Zion while the Griffin's went to school/work.

We all enjoyed some hot tubing at the condo Friday evening. (It was too cold to enjoy the regular pool!!!)

Saturday we went Prom dress shopping at the DI for Aspen and played games at the table (exploding kittens, Ticket to ride (the trains game) and a game they had brought from home.
Saturday evening all the teenagers went to the Stake Dance in Bloomington while the Chases stayed and did taxes and hung out.  The Griffin's went to the Dixie University Basketball Game (Andy had to work).

Sunday we we all went to church together and then enjoyed ribs, rolls, baked beans, potatoes and salad and cookies.

Chase's were going to stay until Monday however there was a bad snow storm coming in.
So they loaded up and headed home Sunday evening at 6 p.m.  It was a fun visit!!!

Aspen had been asked to prom recently by two guys on the same day.  She accepted one invitation and turned down the other.  Initially the guy turned down was cool about it.  They planned a date the weekend following prom and were going to go out anyway, just not to prom.  After thinking about it he must have gotten upset because he texted her something to the effect of...hey let's forget the date and you just pay me $40 for the chocolates and flowers I got you.
Aspen took the high road and didn't reply to that text!
We didn't get to see a whole lot of Katie while Chase's visited as she was at SUU at a Jazz Festival.  Sad!!!
Holly and Sam bonded...they are like two peas in a pod!  They both love watching Disney TV, cookies, playing video games and hanging out.  Sam kept doing things that reminded me of Holly!!!!  Did Becky get the wrong twin?!  Haha...!!!
Sydney is shy?!

Holly and Sam enjoyed playing pool instead of playing IN THE POOL!!! Neither of them wanted to swim!!

06/16/25-06/20/25 Yellowstone

We had a really great week on our Yellowstone trip. We stayed at a VRBO cabin in a remote cabin in Ashton, Idaho. It was just right for our group. We were able to go to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Mesa Falls, the Yellowstone Playhouse, Lava Hot Springs Pools and Slides.  We drove lots, played games, did puzzles, roasted hot dogs, made s'mores, enjoyed picnic lunches, ice cream at the frost top, dinners together made by each lil family and so much more.  Loved it! (There are lots more pictures in our shared Yellowstone google album. Also, these pictures are not in order of happening. )

06/14/25 Pre-Yellowstone

Last year for Christmas I purchased a vacation to Yellowstone for the kids and us. The dates for the Yellowstone cabin were June 16-June 20. We decided to break the trip up a little and drive up the weekend before and drive home the weekend after. Also, because Katie got married, and Dallas has limited time off, he was unable to take his family on the trip. We stayed at his house and got some twin time in before we continued north.  Aspen and John moved to Pennsylvania and are in Utah for the summer. On our way up north we stopped at Becky's house to see them and their sweet new baby.  Erik recently got a new job so he was also not able to join us on our trip. Holly became our little girl again and traveled with us.  Holly and Millie My dad's been in the care center so we stopped by to visit him. He's being well cared for. He is struggling to put sentences together. We came and went to church with him at the care center. He's been asking for a really good pizza. So we w...

10/10/95 Journal Entry - Still no house!!!! But feeling blessed

10/10/95 Still no house - maybe this week.  Haha. Money ran out of the last issue on the people right before us.  More money may come in at a lower rate.  We'll have to see. Dallas is really growing up in a hurry. He is crawling very well on his knees, standing up on things and moving while holding furniture.  He's been really fussy this past week.  Maybe a cold or teeth.  I don't know.  I held him on the coucn all night Saturday. he is really a mama's boy and cries when I leave or come in the room. AJ is also growing up fast.  He's so independent.  He knows what he wants and often gets it.  Saturday Gma and Gpa Griffin were leaving to go home and Aj said, "Where are you going?". Grandma says, "Home to Salt Lake City."  AJ says, "Ok, just a minute I'll get my shoes on!" He is a really good looking little boy.  I sure am lucky to have such a neat family. Andy's been busy training Dean Rock.  Last two weeks he do...
